I am not taking any new clients at this time. If you would like to be on a waitlist OR need help with a referral, please email me.

NOTE: I am doing only virtual sessions. I also offer video consultations for women and their partners who would like to talk through their birth and postpartum plans, guidance for managing anxiety, and receive education on symptoms/support for PMADs.

I am trained in EMDR Therapy and I am a Birth Trauma Trained Therapist through the Birth Trauma and Support Center.

Perinatal Therapist

I love working with women and their partners during and after pregnancy. The earlier we get support during this vulnerable and often overwhelming time, the adjustment to motherhood is less bumpy. I work with new parents to manage anxiety, depression, fear around parenthood and birth, and planning for postpartum support. I welcome partners in our work together.

My approach to therapy is integrative, combining aspects of Family Systems, Existential and Attachment-Based theoretical orientations; however, I view all work through an EMDR Therapeutic lens.

Perinatal Crisis Therapist and Consultant

1 in 5 women will experience a clinical mood or anxiety disorder during and/or after pregnancy. Between 25-34% of women report that their births were traumatic. Following the birth, some of these women go on to develop Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), which is a severe and long-lasting reaction to the trauma. A lot of amazing work is being done by midwives, doulas, OB’s, therapists and psychiatrists on behalf of new mothers but there are still many gaps in care.

This service is meant to address a gap between the time expectant and new moms begin to experience distress, to the time they are connected with a long term plan. This process can be frustrating and overwhelming. My hope is to step in during that in-between time to listen, assess, educate, support, and connect moms and their partners with the trusted providers they need. This role is different than traditional therapy. It is meant for short-term therapeutic support and/or consulting. Visits can range from one time to several depending on individual circumstances.

  • Creating a plan for care and connecting with other trusted providers as needed (ex. postpartum doulas, lactation consultants, perinatal psychiatrists, support groups, trauma therapists etc.)

  • Care and support for traumatic birth experiences and injuries for mothers and their partners

  • Birth and postpartum planning for pregnancy after traumatic birth or perinatal mood disorder
