About Kristin Hill

I am a Mental Health Counselor (LH 60897898) in the state of Washington. I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling with an emphasis in Couple and Family counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University. I am trained in EMDR Therapy, Attachment, Emotion Focused Therapy for couples, and Family Systems. I also have over 50 hours of training in PMADS (postpartum mood and anxiety disorders) and birth trauma support/prevention.

In October 2013, I experienced a traumatic birth and birth injury. As a result, I suffered from Postpartum PTSD. I felt alone and even as a trained therapist, I was not aware of the support that exists for new moms or how to find it. It was almost one year until I found a perinatal therapist to help me in my journey. What many of us discover during and after pregnancy is that things do not happen the way we expect they will. We can end up feeling blindsided, overwhelmed, ashamed, guilty and ill-equipped. If we do reach out for help, it can take many frustrating phone calls and a long wait period to finally get in front of a provider.

I love working alongside women (and their partners) during and after pregnancy.
